Donuts/ Homemade no yeast Donuts Recipe

This recipe is so simple and requires almost nothing that you don’t already have around the house.

These homemade donuts are so delicious and extra soft! They are made with yogurt so you know they are going to be fluffy & soft. These donuts are not heavy. Light and fluffy donuts topped with a rich glaze on top that will melt in your mouth.😋

Ingredient:

· 1/2 cup sugar

· 1/2 teaspoon salt

· 1 teaspoon baking powder

· 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

· 1 cup all-purpose flour

· 1/4 cup butter / vegetable oil

· 2 teaspoon yogurt or (buttermilk)

( Buttermilk Substitute With Yogurt)

Chocolate frosting:

· 1/3 cup butter

· 2 cups powdered sugar

· 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

· 4-6 tablespoons hot water required)

· 4 ounces milk chocolate chips or semi-sweet chocolate chips or chocolates

Dough Making:

· Mix all ingredient together (oil, yogurt, powder sugar, salt, baking powder and vanilla) steer it well until combined.

· Add flour into combined mixture and continue to mix until smooth.

· Start to add the flour gradually while stirring, adding only enough, just until the dough gathers in the center of the bowl. 

· Turn the dough over onto a floured board and knead until the dough is smooth


· To knead, use your palms to push out the dough then fold. Repeat until the dough is kneaded. 

· Shape the kneaded dough into a ball. Place it in a bowl and cover with a clean wet towel. Let it rest for 30 minutes, Sized of the dough will be increased and will be fluffy.

· Roll dough out on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into donuts using a donuts cutter or cookie cutter. (You can use cap of container of which had sharp edges to cut through the dough)

· Using a smaller cover/cookie cutter, cut in between the circle to form a donuts shape.



Frying:


On a medium heavy-bottomed pan, heat about 2-3 inches of oil. Carefully lower a few donuts at a time into the oil, Cook on one side for 2-3 minutes, or until golden. Then cook on the other side for 1/2 minutes until golden. Drain fried donuts on paper towels.



Donuts Glazing:


Chocolate Glazing - Whisk together the milk, powdered sugar and salt in a medium bowl. Add in the melted chocolate. Dip the tops of the donuts inside the glaze and garnish with extra chocolate.


Vanilla Frost Glazing - In a bowl melt the butter add powdered sugar and vanilla extract steer it until everything comes together. Dip donuts in mix and let it drip on the rack.



Sugar Glazing - Take a powdered sugar on a plate, roll the donuts on powder sugar to cover the donuts with sugar.


Note:

· plain yogurt - you can use vegan yogurt too

· sugar - You can use crystal sugar, brown sugar

· vegetable oil - you can use melted butter

sugar donuts/chocolate frosting donuts are ready
